St. Patrick’s Day: The parade, after party and block party are planned in downtown York. FlipSide editor Ashley May will be a parade judge. And that is just the beginning of the Irish merriment. Check out our event listings.

Music:
Tartan Terrors will perform 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. George St., York. York County’s Ni Riain School of Irish Dance will be part of the event. [$26 to $36]
The Mobius Percussion Quartet will perform 7 p.m. Friday in DeMeester Recital Hall at York College, 441 Country Club Road, Spring Garden Township. [Free]
Exit Salida will celebrate the release of its six-song EP Friday at The Shop at New Grounds Roasting Co., 284 W. Market St., York. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The music starts at 7 p.m. [$10 or $8 with student I.D.]
Dailey & Vincent will perform Saturday at The Praise Center (TPC), 3920 Farm Drive, Windsor Township. The evening starts at 6:30 p.m. with a barbecue meal. The music will follow. [$35]
– Grammy-winning group The Oak Ridge Boys will perform 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday at American Music Theatre in Lancaster. A limited number of seats are available at 3 p.m. [$43]
– Jazz organist Joey DeFrancesco will perform Sunday at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Ballroom, 4650 Lindle Road, Harrisburg. The night will open with a 5 p.m. youth band performance. [$10 to $25]

Art:
YorkArts will host a potluck-style dinner for York County Artists and art enthusiasts 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the YorkArts@CityArt gallery, 118 W. Philadelphia St., York. [Free; bring a dish to share]
– Hanover Area Arts Guild’s annual Student Show features 200 pieces from 11 local middle and high schools. See it through March 27 at the guild gallery, 32 Carlisle St., Hanover.
– Local high school artists will create chalk murals during the Chalk It Up! event noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the York Galleria, 2899 Whiteford Road, Springettsbury Township.

– Attend the annual Olde Towne Night 6 p.m. Friday at Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church. Patrick Kline of Family Heirloom Weavers, which has film fame, will speak at the event.
– Grab your girlfriends and head to Ladies’ Night Out 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bob Hoffman YMCA, 1705 Palomino Road, Dover. Browse through jewelry, home products, clothing, handbags and more. [Free]
Shop for used books, baked goods and jewelry 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard and Farm Market, 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam. Proceeds benefit Kreutz Creek Valley Library Center.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center, formerly the American Civil War Wax Museum, will auction figures, furniture and paintings 9 a.m. Saturday. View items today and Friday.
